2006 Americana attracts with Top Sport - Purse for Bronze Trophy Open raised up to 35,000.--Euros

From September 6 to 10, 2006 the AMERICANA western horse show will again offer superb sport, show programme and clinics together with an international fair with 240 exhibitors. For the competitors, AMERICANA – the 13th World Open Championship Western Riding – starts with the first go rounds on September 3. From September 6 until 10, the showground is open for visitors.

Americana offers one of the top-purse reining shows of the world: There are another EUR 5000.—in the purse of the Open Bronze-Trophy, total prize money being EUR 35,000.—now in this class. The show management expects reining stars who also compete in the 2005 World Equestrian Games. Reining competitions start on Tuesday, September 5, 2006. As the WEG reining shows will be on September 1 and 3, competing in the AMERICANA will be no problem for WEG competitors.

Tom McCutcheon announces he’s coming
The first go round of the Open Bronze-Trophy is scheduled for September 6, 2006, the final being the highlight of the evening show Run of the Stars on Thursday, September 7. One of the top reiners of the U.S.A. already’s announced he’s coming: Tom McCutcheon will ride Smartest Chic Olena there.

But reining is only one of the top class show highlights of AMERICANA 2006 presenting a variety of disciplines – from pleasure and trail to the cattle classes cutting and working cowhorse.

Attractive evening shows A lot of the most attractive finals will be part of the evening shows. Besides the “Run of the Stars” (Thursday, September 7), there are the “Cow Horse Festival“(Friday, September 8) and the “Cutting Spectacular” (Saturday, September 9).
